Gettin old??

It amazes me!! Ive been in and around the trucking industry for most of my life, (over 30 yrs), and I dont know how the drivers of old (myself included) ever got anywhere or communicated with anyone before GPS and Cell phones. We had to wait in lines for payphones and to look up our destinations on maps. There were no Qualcoms , laptops or paperless logs. How did we do it for so long????? I really miss the old days of driving and the old Mom and Pop truck stops, Drinking coffee in the…

Starting Over

I trucked a long time. Didn't always do it the right way. I got out of the Army in '86 and climbed right into a truck. At first, all i had was a Commercial Chauffeur's License, some experience backing up on the freight docks in Jersey and a sincere desire in my heart to move forward. The first company that would hire me without going to an expensive school was Continental Carrier Corp. I worked out of their OKC terminal, which was a dirty motel room at the Sunshine Inn which is now the Best…

But you are forgetting one important item on your rig that continually robs money from you every day. This is your tires. Just 10% loss of air will decrease tire life by 10%. low air pressure is the number one killer of…
