Super 8 says truckers are dirty ppl

Just as an FYI for everyone here, I just tried to reserve a room for my husband at Super 8 motel. Was told that the room was going to be $56.99 for a single king bed non smoking... I then asked if they offered a discount for CDL holders and was informed that since he holds a CDL there is no discount, and the price would actually be higher... He was then quoted at $59.99. not much more expensive but when I asked why the price was higher, I was informed that it was higher because TRUCKERS ARE DIRTY PEOPLE! That reservation was cancelled reallllllllllllllllllllllllly quick!

I stayed at a COUNTRY INN & SUITES in WIchita, Kansas and they were GREAT! They have a CDL rate - just call them if you are in Wichita!!!!! Headed to the COUNTRY INN & SUITES in Tulsa..

I have been driving trucks for 37 years and the state of some of these people let the rest of us down, A shower and a shave never hurt anyone.

Fact of the matter is we are hard working Men and Women, some are clean and some are not period. Some are skinny others are not we are just people and usually damn good people. Crystal you did good telling them I cancel as a matter of fact when I start driving again I'll cancel. bet if a few thousand cancelled they would change that attitude.Take care keep the rubber side down, be safe and hope to see you all this spring. Been fighting leukemia for the last 3 years then lymphoma but my Dr.s think I just might be able to put her in the wind again god I hope I miss the road so bad, ya all be safe now..

I demanded my money back, I told her that my trunk of my car was cleaner. She said that's your opinion. My ex asked her if she was the person that had just cleaned the room she said no, At that moment this guy comes walking out of the building she said " He's the guy that just cleaned that room. So I stopped him and asked him, Is that the best that you can do when it comes to cleaning a room, He then replied what's wrong with it. I said it still had dirty sheets, He said to me I just changed them. So my ex asked him with sheets from another room. He looked at her and said don't like it " Leave " ....Trust me we did.

I have yet to see a Super 8 motel that's not a shit hole.

Comment by Angela Thompson on June 16, 2012 at 11:03am: well if you are ever on I-70 in Kansas exit 295 Junction City, the Motel 6 there I used to work at and they treat everyone well and of course give trucker discounts. Sapp Brothers Truck stop is RIGHT next door, within easy walking distance. Clean rooms and affordable! also FREE wifi! there is also a place to do your laundry. Hope this helps some of you all out! (i will say not all motel 6's are as nice as this one though) and when i stayed super 8 in moberly, missouri, i was NOT impressed for the price they charge. rooms were outdated and breakfast sucked! Motel 6 doesn't offer breakfast, just coffee but the only good breakfast you'll get is somewhere where you'll end up spending an arm and a leg lol.
