CB trash and tuning it out

In my 32 yrs. out there I heard so much trash talk I would turn my CB off and listen to music from the radio station I could pick up in whatever state I was in loosing all my communications with other drivers on road conditions,delays,construction zones,speed traps,drunk 4 wheelers,accidents amongst other necessary CB info

There is a lot of trash on the cb, But I never turn it off. I do turn the squelch up a little high sometimes. 

I wish more truckers would start using it again, Use to have some really good conversations years ago.

@ Dan , Yes there is a lot of TRASH on the CB but that as you said Necessary CB Info can be tuned out I would rather here a bad word than have a accident because I turned the CB off. I have seen when in traffic back up and see Big Trucks locking up their brakes when coming over an overpass and the traffic is stopped on the other side. I always when I was driving had my CB Radio ON. I'm not driving now but I am now staying home and just started a web site to sell CB' s and other trucker Items take a look at gpstruckercbradio.com .
