Hi all! Hopefully I'm not considered an outsider... I actually currently own and operate a taxi service. I've always been interested in Class A OTR, but can't get into it at the moment, so biding my time. In the meantime, I figure there's a lot I can learn by listening and reading. I like to be prepared for most, if not all possibilities.

I'm not a typical wannabe stuck driving a 4-wheeler though. I have driven non-CDL commercial trucks before. All box trucks, mostly 14' Ford F650, biggest one an International 4900 (?) with a 24' box and a DT466... THAT one was fun! :)

I feel for truckers who are given improper directions, or are given directions by someone who has no clue where a dognose Freightshaker with a double sleeper and tandems pulling a 13' 6", 53-foot trailer can not go. I see this a lot in my town, it has a screwed up interchange that gets trucks stuck at a 10" overpass all the time, and I do what I can to help them get around these situations. Just wanted to say hi to all the men and women who keep America moving forward by bringing the stuff that we all buy, and hopefully I am welcome here :)
