Thank you for your Message Stephanie, well There are no more "Oshkosh's " in Ireland now and at that time there were only 3. that was back in the early 1970, I beleve they are some  in the Military thats because they are mostly used for very heavy loads.  Anyway Honey you take care out there and stay safe. Well I remember years ago all trucks bad springs and now its all airbags but there are some springs on lifting axels or steering  axels but you know dont worry with roads in the US  they are better than in Ireland and you will find Volvo Knows best.

Did you know  Volvo were the first to invent safity belts over 50 or 60 years ago and the design is still the same to day. so dont worry,  when I passed my HGV test it was in aUS made truck called "Oshkosh"  with 40 gears  2 gearbox's.  long time ago,   X X X.

I have Driven many types of Volvo's  all over Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East over a 35 year span, & also Scania,  Daf,  and Man,  but the Volvo is a Brill truck now they all have Air Bags no more springs  so you dont feel the bumps anymore.  Happy Trucking.X X X.

Are you ever up in Alberta,Canada? If you come in from Montana and go to Calgary or Edmonton, the roads are big and fairly fast, but go back out the same way ...lol If you go east from Alberta the roads are atrocious!
