From friends of mine who are Owner Operators:

We have two trucks that run nationwide; each truck averaging 12,000 miles per month.  We have been using the Xp3 diesel enhancer since April  2011, and the first thing the drivers noticed was increased performance and less black smoke build up on the exhaust stacks.  We keep records on a monthly mileage basis because the different loads and road conditions affect fuel mileage.  On our 2009 Kenworth with a 550 Caterpillar engine we have gained 17% in our fuel savings averaging about $1,068 per month.  In our older 2005 Peterbuilt with the same type 550 Caterpillar engine we are saving about $822 per month for a total savings to our business of $1,890 per month or $22,680 per year.  This is a very significant savings, and I need to mention that it includes the cost of using Xp3.  We would not fill up our trucks without Xp3 and have been known to order it overnight shipped to make sure we do not run out.

Peter A: 6-13-12 My own test is going well and although I haul heavy loads (licensed for 63500 kilo's ) on bush roads, gravel road and highway, I am using less fuel, approx 50 litres less so far and I feel the engine is running smoother with more power!  7-28-12: I am happy with the results so far and will continue to use xp3 in my tank. I have put some in  my lawn mower as well and the old thing seems to be running like a top now! I also have it in my outboard motor and although it is running better.

We run Amzoil with bypass filters in our trucks and do not change our oil but once every 1 – 2 years.  Every 20,000 miles we change the filters, add 2 gallons of replacement oil and send in an oil sample for analysis so, our maintenance costs are already much less than the average trucking firm.  Therefore, we only include our fuel savings for Fuel Direct Testimony.

Very good stuff. I know of a gent up in Canada that's doing something very similar. When you can get the tire thing under control it's an excellent combination to what we are doing with Xp3. Thnaks for posting.

The Xp3 diesel enhancer is great for trucks if you want a good average. It definitely improves the performance and saves 15-20% of the fuel on an average. I have observed good feedback for Xp3 specially for the trucking industry, where you require a good average and cost cutting. But your average will also depend on the type of roads that you are driving on.

Your friend Jeannie is doing a terrific job. Like an old saying "Prevention is better than cure". If she is regularly inspecting the trucks then it certainly will add value to their business at a very low maintenance cost.

Jeannie and her husband are all over it as you suggest. They tried other alternatives with other products in the past with nowhere near the performance so they've done their testing if you will. When I get a new client, we go through a controlled baseline test together for 20 fills out because we want to see what the benefits are going to be on your machine while Xp3 sets up in the engine and I do the calculations on a spreadsheet that calculate activity along the way so we know exactly how much money is being saved after the cost of the product. Obviously, the goal for an Owner Operator would be to be where Jeannie and her husband are today. 

I have an Owner Operator that just stared his base line test. His base was 6.0 MPG and in his first two fills he bumped to 6.47. For every $25,000 miles he drives he will get back $882.00 AFTER the cost of the product. When we get him up to 1 more MPG, he will be just over $2,000.00 back in the same amount of miles. This is all just fuel savings, he will experience much less maintenance issues with injectors and the like and move his oil changes out. [e-mail]

Diesel enhancer is one of many ways, but we should follow some basic guidelines like, riding at a constant speed, regular maintenance, rash driving should be avoided and most important to shift in high gears as quickly as possible. Usage of some kinds of enhancer may reduce your engine's power. I hope by these basic tips you will be able to control your fuel and maintenance cost under control.

How you drive can save you up to 4% just in itself. I always suggest the same to my clients who are using Xp3. Look at what my client who is an owner operator is getting with Xp3. Now add the better driving habits you are talking about on top of this.

I wanted to write you and thank you for introducing me to XP3 Diesel Fuel Enhancer. Prior to your introduction I've always used Howels Fuel Additive however, my brief experience using XP3 has shattered years of Howels usage.

I saw and felt the difference within a couple of months and it seems to be getting better as time goes on. My engine, a Cummins M11, purrs like a cat when idling and roars like a beast when out on the open road "hammer down." My exhaust comes out clean which is good for the environment, which I like. My fuel consumption jumped from 6.3 to 7.4 MPG and I get better power when climbing those hills.

As long as I run trucks I will be using XP3, oh by the way, my engine is 14 years old.
