We have Drivewize attatched to our peoplenet elogs. I was heading south from Montreal PQ into NY state about 2 months ago and as I got about 2 miles from the very first DOT inspection area the screen lit up and told me 'Inspection station 2 miles', it then did it at 1 mile, then I got a 'BY PASS' signal on screen and drove by, it was totally new to me, obviously installed remotely by the company. I got near to the inspection area near Queensbury NY and although I got the BY PASS again I went in to check with DOT, the cop told me I should just drive by when told to, I had been  suspicious because unlike 'Prepass' there are no overhead sensors as you get near these areas. This system works at all DOT scales etc, even the tiny remote stations in the back woods of Vermont. On two occasions I have been chased down by cops for passing, all I did was tap the drivewize icon and show the cop the recorded by pass instruction, both times the cop appologised and told me to go on my way. On occasions when I am required to enter the check point the screen will say 'FOLLOW ROADSIGNS' ifI was to go by on those occasions and chased I would be liable.

This is a good app for any company. the remarks I get from others on the CB when driving by are amusing LOL.
