I've driven eaton fuller tranny's for ten years and have never damaged a gearbox. i ran 500000mi on a 02 pete 379 with a eaton in it and never had an issue. i think alot of the damage that is caused is by missing  gears or over rev to drop into a gear prematurly. so when eaton fuller says that 30% of the time your damaging the gearbox, id have to say that depends on the driver. (not trying to say im better or worse than any other) if you take your time and don't rush or force a shift, the long run will work out.  It's just getting to know the equiptment your using.

You are right!!!  As a trainer, it was required to teach the double clutch for the students CDL's.

But after they passed, I did teach the normal way.  lol   Getting to know your truck, and the RPM,s
